Spring Reading Recommendations | Why Spring clean when you can read?

spring rec

Spring is very much upon us here in the UK – or at least, that’s what my hayfever tells me. And so, for readers like me who read whatever suits their mood, that subtle shift in reading taste may begin.

And for those who read the same sort of books all the time…well, here are some recommendations anyway!

Hold your arms out and be ready to add to your TBR pile, because I’m about to throw some recommended books your way.

YOU recommend! It’s time for you guys to take over my blog & make my formidable TBR even longer

you-reccomend

Guys, you’re taking over my blog.

At least for today, anyway.

This blog is basically one huge recommendation for reading. There’s an endless amount of books talked about on here, but even so, there’s even more I’ve not yet discovered.

Now, recently I posted my Reading Resolutions for 2017 video. For those who you who haven’t seen it (which you totally should, you know. Would be very much appreciated *winks*), three of the resolutions on there are about bringing a difference to my reading taste.

1. I hope to read more nonfiction

2. I hope to read more diversely

and 3. I hope to broaden my genres

Which means I’ve got a lot of book buying to do in 2017. And you know what I need to do that?

Your recommendations!

But what to read?

Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered…

Here are a few recommendations from li’l old me, two for a range of genres for you to pick out and cosy up with on those dismal days.

Let’s talk…Genre stereotypes and the clouding of judgement (+ some recommendations!)

genre stereotypes

So when trying to decide this week’s discussion post, I thought I’d just stick to the stereotype theme. Since last Sunday I confessed the fact that I am a stereotypical bookworm (sort of), I might as well, right?

Ahhhhh stereotypes. Aren’t they just everywhere? Greeting us like old friends. Or rather…making barriers and giving people clouded judgements in absolutely everything and basically causing all the prejudice in the world.

Yeah. That.

But surely it doesn’t go that far, right?

Well, let’s see…

Me before you

I feel like everyone is reading this book lately thanks to the movie trailer being released, and while I don’t usually like contemporary books, I had to jump on the bandwagon with this one. So let’s talk about Me Before You!
