The Bookish Scenarios Tag

Thank you Heather @ The Sassy Book Geek for tagging me in this tag!

I did write this post the day after I was tagged but I’m scheduling it for Thursday so that my blog won’t be overloaded by tags and awards, and can be mixed in with review too 🙂

1.) You have to get rid of all your books and you can only keep one from each of these genres – contemporary, fantasy, non-fiction and one other genre of your choosing. What books do you keep?

Anna and the french kissanne frankdeathly hallowsbone season

Contemporary – I don’t read that much contemporary so can’t I swap it for another fantasy book? No? Oh OK then. I guess I’ll choose Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.

Fantasy – I DON’T WANT TO CHOOSE JUST ONE *sulks* *sighs* Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling.

Non-fiction – I own about 2 non fiction books. Out of them I’d choose The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, but since I haven’t read it I’d rather exchange it for my signed edition of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas…please? No? Anne Frank it is then.

SciFi – The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon (no fight there).

2.) You’re at the bookstore and you hear a teenager telling their mom they don’t like to read, but their mom insists they pick something. You walk over and recommend a book you think is great for people who aren’t big on reading – what book is it?

Great for people who aren’t big on reading? I don’t know about that, but Throne of Glass is definitely fast paced enough to grip you so I recommend it to everyone.

3.) You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which book do you read to put yourself in a great mood?

The Night Circus

I’m going to go with The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, mainly because I’ve had a HUGE urge to reread it lately and keep talking about it everywhere. I’ll be rereading it in December closer to Christmas because the magic cheers me up ❤

4.) You go back in time for a day to your child-hood years. What book would you most likely have caught yourself reading?

harry potter philosophers stone

Need you ask? Potterhead since the age of 7 over here 😀

5.) Your friend surprises you with a 4 day trip and you have 1 hour to pack. Which book do you bring to read on the way?

shatter me

I’d just throw in whichever book I’m reading at the moment, which is Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi.

6.) Your house has been robbed! Don’t worry – everyone is safe, but your bookshelf has been raided. What’s the book you really hope is safe?

I honestly can’t give one specific book for this. I’d cry if any of my books were taken – sure, some more than others, but I’d be so angry and hurt that someone would do that.

The one’s that’d effect me worse though would be the Harry Potter series (obviously), any of my Sarah J Maas books, especially the signed ACOTAR book. Any of my favourites really. Or the books I’ve saved from my childhood – these being The illustrated peter rabbit collection and three Enid Blyton hardbacks.

7.) Your friend borrows a book and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs?

Um…none? I mean, all my friends know how much I value my books so it’d never happen. Plus I don’t let people borrow my books anyway because I’d be scared of this thing happening.

BUT if it did, depending on how badly it was damaged, I’d explain why I’m annoyed and then buy another copy myself.
